AOL... ANTI-GREEN!!!

Here's my rant... My grandmother has AOL dial-up. I just reformatted her PC because it was an absolute mess. Now I'm trying to get AOL back on her PC. Well, since she only has dial up through AOL, I go to my computer and go to AOL's live help.

First my friend Frances gets on the chat. Frances is really good at repeating himself and telling me that there is no way to order a CD. He recommends that my grandmother (who just got out of the hospital yesterday) go to WalMart and ask for a CD. That's the best way to get on the Internet... drive to WalMart and get a CD. Yea.. okay. So, before I could get my rant out to Frances, he decides I'm not typing quickly enough and signs off.

So.. I sign back in and my friend Charlotte asks if she can be of service. Charlotte tries to give me the same run around as Frances. I ask her... hey Charlotte, is it possible for me to download AOL 9.0 and burn it to CD for my grandmother? She attempts to say that I can download it from some silly website and of course, she's wrong. So she recommends I drive to Wal-Mart (she spells it correctly) and get a CD for my grandmother. Well, I tell her that AOL shouldn't recommend consuming gasoline so liberally. Especially with the entire country "Going Green" how can AOL recommend I use gasoline to get on the Internet? So I entertain Charlotte with my idea of AOL not being "Green" and she decides to log off. So much for my rant to AOL. I think I'll write a letter and drive it to the headquarters in my gas guzzler.

I've had enough of AOL... I'll get my grandmother NetZero or something like that.

ARGH!
